We have numerous facilities for research, staffed by the very best that the Stony Brook University campus has to offer. For more information, click on one of the links below:
RSFQ Electronics Laboratory – The Rapid Signal Flux Quantum Laboratory is headed by Dr. Vasili Semenov. Research conducted there involves superconducting circuits, with many applications to industry.
Optoelectronics Group – State of the art facilities headed up by Prof. Gregory Belenky, one of our talented staff members from campus' very own Electrical Engineering department. With state of the art facilities at their disposal, the group can perform a great deal of valuable work in the field of optics research.
Fluorescent Detection Technology - Two world-class groups, one headed by Prof. Vera Gorfinkel, the other by Prof. Serge Luryi and Dr. Mikhail Gouzman, work at the CAT in the following major research areas that have grown out of our prior fundamental research in fluorescent detection technology.
Fiber Optic Sensors Laboratory - Dr. Mikhail Gouzman's lab for research in optically-powered sensor networks. This kind of progress would involve the elimination of electromagnetics in sensor technology, and thus would eliminate a major source of interference and data corruption.
