With funding from New York State Technology and Academic Research (NYSTAR) and leveraged Federal funds, SUNY faculty and students, a number of engineers, senior research scientists, postdoctoral fellows and visiting scientists will work in SUNY Specialized Research Facilities.

We have full access to all material and personnel resources of our host institution, from Brookhaven Advanced Light Source to machine shops.

Dozens of Stony Brook faculty members, from physics to orthopedics, participate in our R & D efforts.

As we grow, we develop our own state of the art facilities, at this point largely for material deposition and characterization.
